PALL’s All-Star season is the most competitive season of the Little League year. Players are selected based on their play in the Spring Season to represent Palo Alto in various All-Star tournaments over the summer. As a fun tradition, we kick-off the All-Star season at Middlefield Park with a scrimmage between the American & National League 12-year old Little League All-Star teams.
Palo Alto Little League has two types of All-Star teams:
Little League All-Stars are able to participate in a double elimination District 52 tournament, and depending on the age group, if they win they can go on to the Sectional, Northern California, Western Regional and Little League World Series in Williamsport. The 10 and 11 teams can go as far as the Northern California tournament, and the 12 year old teams can go all the way to win a US National or International Little League Championship. Palo Alto fields both American and National League All-Star teams.
SuperBowl All-Stars play in a single elimination District 52 tournament, and we traditionally field an American and National League PCL/Minors team and either a single Majors team or American and National Majors teams (depending on availability of players and coaching).
We also recognize the All-PALL Select Team, which is comprised of 12-year old Majors Division players (6 in the American League and 6 in the National League) who are voted onto the team by their peers. This is a ceremonial team and a nice honor to be selected. This team sometimes plays scrimmages against other towns prior to the D52 Tournament. You can see past All-PALL Select Teams HERE.
