Thank You, Board Members and Volunteers

A message from Matt Robles, PALL president

As we wrap up another incredible spring season of Palo Alto Little League, I want to take a moment to thank the many volunteers, families, coaches, umpires, and community members who make this league such a special place year after year.

This season was filled with competitive baseball, player growth, community spirit, and countless memorable moments across every division. None of it happens without an enormous amount of volunteer effort behind the scenes.

A few special thank yous to some of the people who helped make this season possible:

Richard Kimble — tirelessly worked to build and organize our teenage divisions, helping unlock the power of baseball for players transitioning onto larger diamonds and keeping opportunities available for teenagers to continue playing the game.

Nate Blair — helped deliver one of the most competitive Majors seasons in recent memory, with outstanding parity across the division.

Yatin Patel — for building community, bringing volunteers together, and running a fantastic AAA division.

Jason Snell — for managing a huge roster of sponsors who were all eager to support our league, while also making AA a great experience for the kids.

Sabrina Halliburton-Qwan — in her first year as a Player Agent, acted like a veteran from day one.

Ali Khaki — for continuing the tradition of a strong and joyful T-Ball division.

Shawn Nematbakhsh — for taking the reins of an amazing Wiffle Ball division in his rookie season.

Mark Coiley — for leading a large and growing Challenger division through a fun and memorable Spring season.

Adam Rudd — for getting up to speed quickly on equipment operations and helping provide gear and support for hundreds of players and coaches all season long.

Monica Kuchinski — for leading what was arguably the best Opening Day event in league history, along with many other community-building events throughout the season.

Saxon Noh — for taking care of our fields, which continue to be the gem of the District, Section, and perhaps even the State.

Chuck Katz — for helping keep the league and board grounded from a legal perspective.

Bryan Rubin — for his infinite patience as Secretary and for helping keep the Board organized, focused, and on track throughout the season.

Robyn Reiss — for spearheading marketing efforts, getting the word out, and serving as a strong voice of reason at the board level.

Mike Migliore — for continuing the tradition of training umpires and advising all of us on the often unintuitive rules of baseball.

Josh Vanderlip — for always being there for our registration needs.

Patty Dhillon — for handling, perhaps, the most thankless job in the league: ensuring the safety and compliance of our players, coaches, and volunteers.

Robin Sugiura — for managing the Rubik’s Cube of fields, volunteers, logistics, and schedules, while also serving as Tournament Director for the District Majors tournament. She even recruited her sister, Lauren Colomb, to help make last year’s tournament a huge success — and we can’t wait for another great tournament this year.

Susan Peterson — for keeping all our players outfitted in uniforms and the league stocked with fan gear. Look good, play good!

Sofia Lou — for her relentless dedication to organizing and scheduling umpires and helping keep our Game Coordinator function operational throughout the season.

Richard Sousa — for herding cats around our capital campaign aspirations, while also providing invaluable webmaster support for the league.

Wes Hartmann — for leading a number of Rules Oversight matters this year with a reasoned, thoughtful, and wise approach that we are deeply grateful for.

And finally, thank you to every manager, coach, team parent, umpire, sponsor, and family who contributed time and energy this season. Palo Alto Little League is special because of this community and the people willing to step up for the kids.
