Say Hey Baseball and Bevy faced off for the fourth time this season. With the PCL Championship on the line, Bevy prevailed by a score of 12-5.

Bevy held a 2-1 advantage during the regular season; their close loss to Say Hey in April marred an otherwise undefeated season.

In Saturday’s championship game, both teams started their most dependable pitchers (Nicolas Gonzales for Bevy and Logan Lai for Say Hey), and pitching dominated at the start. Bevy held a slim 2-1 league as they came to bat in the bottom of the third and exploded for five runs in the third and then five more in the fourth as Bevy cruised to a seven-run victory and the PCL Championship.

Gonzales and William Kumagai each had two hits for Bevy; Logan Peng had a grand slam run in the decisive fourth inning. Lai, Helen Pittman, and Timothy Choi had multiple hit games for Say Hey.

Congratulations to Bevy on winning this year’s PCL Championship! And thank you to all the PCL players and families for a wonderful season.
