Palo Alto Little League’s home for generations of young baseball players, Middlefield Ballpark, was dedicated on June 29, 1952. Created and constructed by Palo Alto community leaders, the field’s dedication ceremony featured none other than baseball legend Ty Cobb and Football Hall of Famer Pop Warner.

As the field approaches its seventy-fifth year of use, a fundraising campaign is underway to raise $5 million for improvements and renovations including

  • covered and expanded fan seating
  • extended netting along foul lines
  • dedicated T-Ball field
  • remodeled snack shack
  • upgraded dugouts
  • expanded bullpens
  • covered batting cages
  • upgraded pitcher’s mound
  • renovated clubhouse

With a substantial lead gift, the campaign is off to a great start. Donations will help secure the future for Palo Alto ballplayers, and there are plenty of naming opportunities.
